FREE Come and Sing/Play rehearsals this January!
Following the incredible response to our free Come and Sing rehearsals in September, we are delighted to announce the return of these popular sessions this January. We have FREE Come and Sing/Play rehearsals for our Sheffield Youth Choirs, Junior Voices, Youth Voices and Concordia Voices, as well as Sheffield Junior Samba Band, Sheffield Youth Samba Band this January!

Junior Voices – Years 2–5
Dates: Tuesday 6 January and Tuesday 13 January
Time: 6:15pm – 7:15pm
Location: All Saints Catholic High School
Leaders: Sarah Carroll and Jonathan Lazell
Junior Voices is a fun, inclusive choir for younger singers to learn songs, make friends, and enjoy making music together.
Youth Voices – Years 6–9
Dates: Tuesday 6 January and Tuesday 13 January
Time: 7:30pm – 8:30pm
Location: All Saints Catholic High School
Conductor: Eleanor Jarvis
Youth Voices is an energetic group that sings everything from pop to classical and performs at well-known venues such as Sheffield Cathedral and Victoria Hall.
Concordia Voices – Year 10+
Dates: Monday 5 January and Monday 12 January
Time: 6:45pm – 8:15pm
Location: The Foundry Studios, 3 Brown Street, Sheffield S1 2BS
Director: Emma Ward
Concordia Voices is a vibrant, supportive choir exploring a wide range of styles including pop, classical, hip-hop, and musical theatre. No audition is required. (Year 9 students with previous musical experience may join following a short assessment.)
Sheffield Junior Samba Band – Years 3–6
Dates: Wednesday 7 January and Wednesday 14 January
Time: 6:10 pm – 7:00 pm
Location: Red Tape Central
Directors: Dan Johnston and Joe Green
A lively, welcoming music group for anyone wanted to do some drumming. The band performs regularly at community events such as lantern carnivals—and often enjoys free refreshments after performances. No experience needed
Sheffield Youth Samba Band – Years 7–13
Dates: Wednesday 7 January and Wednesday 14 January
Time: 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Location: Red Tape Central
Directors: Dan Johnston and Joe Green
An energetic, fun group for older students who love percussion. All drum parts are covered, from easy to challenging, with ear defenders provided. The Youth Samba Band performs frequently at public events like lantern carnivals and parades. No experience required
Let’s Make Music – Ages 5–7
Dates: Thursday 8 January and Thursday 15 January
Time: 4:30 pm – 5:15 pm
Location: Red Tape Central
Director: Suzanne Hobbs
A playful, inclusive session introducing young children to music through singing games, percussion, listening, and basic notation. This group builds rhythmic skills and ensemble confidence and does not require prior musical experience.
