Hello! We are Sheffield Youth Samba Band. Anyone from year 3 to year 13 is welcome to join us.
- Our Junior Samba band is for children from year 3 to year 6.
- Our Youth Samba band is from year 7 to year 13.
We are a very fun and welcoming band, and we all play drums. So we’re nice and noisy! (We provide ear defenders). There are lots of different types of drums, ranging from small ones for little people to really big ones for big people! And the parts, or rhythms that we play, range from very easy to quite complicated. There’s something for everyone at Samba band!
We are a busy band, playing out at lots of community events throughout the year. Lantern carnivals are a real favourite. And we often get free food after our shows. We’ve had everything from curries to jacket potatoes and beans!
So if this sounds like your thing, we’d love to meet you. You are very welcome to pop along any Wednesday evening to Redtape studios between 5.45 and 8.30 and give us a try. Hope to see you soon!
