We reckon Senior Orchestra is one of the most exciting youth orchestras around! We are committed to creating a place to explore and refine your ensemble skills, share your ideas as a valued member of a team, and play a massive variety of music in unforgettable venues and performances. We welcome members who play any standard orchestral instrument, usually in Y10 or older, and generally grade 6+ ability.

Our rehearsals are built on collaboration, and we encourage every member to share their thoughts to shape our performances together. Tramlines main stage, The Royal Albert Hall, The Crucible, and The Leadmill are venues we’ve performed in just this year! We aim to be on the cutting edge of what it means to play in an orchestra and we’re really looking forward to having you get involved.

All you need to do to join is for us to hear you play a short piece/excerpt that you feel represents your current ability – don’t worry, it’ll just be a few members of staff, and it’s really chilled out. We’ll give you positive feedback and things to think about no matter what. Feel free to get in touch, we’re really happy to chat about anything.
