Sheffield Music Hub’s Rock and Pop Bands are back with Next Gen Live, returning to the iconic Sidney & Matilda on Friday 5th July 2026. After a thrilling debut earlier this year, the next gig promises another night of brilliant young talent.

Each band that takes the stage will have been formed and developed through the Hub’s Rock and Pop Band Skills programme — a unique initiative that helps young musicians build confidence, creativity, and performance skills in a real band setting.

Sidney & Matilda, one of Sheffield’s most exciting independent venues, offers the perfect backdrop: intimate, atmospheric, and built for live music. Expect great vibes, and a showcase of Sheffield’s next generation.
