Anna Turner (Trustee)

Anna’s daughter has quite complex additional needs and started to play flute in Y3. She’s made amazing progress over the last 5 years thanks to her love of music and the dedication of her Sheffield Music Hub flute teacher.

Her daughter started the Sheffield Children’s Wind Band and Anna went to one of the brilliant Octagon concerts. She was hugely impressed by the performance of all the bands and the inclusive nature of Sheffield Music Hub – keen to give something back, she asked one of the Friends and Volunteers how she could get involved to support the Music Hub in more practical ways and help children across the city access music.

After spending a few months volunteering at Music Hub events, Anna was elected as a Friends and Volunteers Trustee in 2023. She’s just seen her daughter achieve Grade 1 in flute and couldn’t be prouder!
