Senior Brass

Day - Tuesdays
Time - 6.15pm-7.15pm
Price - Category C
Grade - 5+

Advanced brass group for young musicians (usually in Y7 – Y13) who are grade 5 and above.
Senior Brass offers a chance to develop deep ensemble skills in a small, welcoming, brass only group.
Music includes traditional brass group repertoire such as Philip Jones , Giovanni Gabrielli, as well as many other genres of music from classical to jazz,
The following instruments are welcome:
- French horn
- Tenor horn
- Trumpet/Cornet/flugelhorn
- Trombone
- Baritone
- Euphonium
- Tuba
Senior brass is a fun way to discover new, challenging music, develop friendships, explore new and interesting ways to rehearse and perform exciting music to a high standard.

What to expect at your first rehearsal
If you think it might help, please share the Young Person’s Rehearsal Timeline with your young musician. This will give them an idea of what to expect when they arrive, the rehearsal and what to do at the end. Hopefully it will help calm some nerves :)

Please note we only accept new members into groups the first week of rehearsals after each school holiday.
