Lucie Timm - Assistant Project Officer

Hi I'm Lucie - I started at the Sheffield Music Hub in January 2022 and starting a new job in a then current pandemic was slightly scary but was so worth it! I will always remember the first concert we did, and the atmosphere and excitement of young musicians and audience was something I will never forget – it really felt like in that moment at The Octagon, the world was finally coming together again after what felt like a lifetime in lockdown.

I am the hub’s Assistant Project Officer so you will probably see me at lots of our concerts, events or maybe even at one of our music groups, so come say Hello! Before joining the Music Hub, I worked for Sheffield City Council in Children’s Social Services for the Children Looked After Team which was super rewarding and I also studied Creative Media at Sheffield City College and then quickly moved on to study Journalism at The University of Sheffield for a while.

A little about me…

  • Favourite song/piece of music – I don’t think I will ever have a number one favourite song of all time as I like to change it up all the time, but the song currently stuck in my head right now is Sophie Ellis-Bextor – Murder on the Dancefloor… make of that what you will.
  • Favourite thing to do outside of work – is going on holiday (preferably near the sea) and spending time with my (very large) family and dogs.
  • Favourite food – Sushi obviously
  • Favourite place in Sheffield – I think it would have to be my home – but maybe in the garden with a nice iced coffee, preferably in the sunshine.
  • One thing about me that would surprise you to know – I have 4 amazing kids, 1 girl and 3 boys… yes, that’s right 3 boys, 3 under 3, 2 of which are identical twins! And no, it doesn’t run in the family and yes, I am very tired (but also very lucky!).
