Sheffield Music Hub Launches New Pathways to Music Industry Mentoring Scheme
Sheffield Music Hub Launches New Mentoring Scheme to Support Young People into the Music Industry
Following feedback from young people across Sheffield, we have launched a new mentoring scheme to help aspiring musicians take their first steps into the music industry.
Earlier this year, young people shared their desire for more support and opportunities in music during the Voice for Youth event held in February. In response, we introduced a work experience programme aimed at providing valuable skills, hands-on experience, and insight into music education.
Now, we’re excited to launch a one-to-one mentoring scheme led by Young Sounds UK mentor Catherine Bennett. The scheme is designed to offer personalised guidance, expert advice, and tailored support to young people aged 14–18 who are interested in ways into the music industry.
Applications for the mentoring scheme are now open. Young people can book a session by clicking here
