We are running the Sheffield 10k
Date: Saturday, 28th September 2025
Location: Arundel Gate, Sheffield City Centre
Start Time: 9:30 AM
Why We're Running
Sheffield Music Hub’s bursary programme provides essential support to children and young people from low-income families—covering music lessons, instrument hire, and group participation. But with costs reaching £7,000 a year, and funding from our Friends & Volunteers running low, we’re at risk of having to say no to some children.
We believe every child deserves access to music education, regardless of background, income, ability, or care status. Families receiving Free School Meals, Universal Credit, Income Support, Income-based Job Seekers Allowance, Working Tax Credit, or those with looked-after children are eligible for bursary support.
What’s Happening
On 28th September, a team of passionate staff, parents, and friends of Sheffield Music Hub will run the Sheffield 10K to raise money for our bursary programme. This isn’t about medals—it’s about making sure every child who wants to make music gets the chance.
