Music in the Round and Sheffield Music Hub are thrilled to announce the Primary School Singing Support Pack Big Sing! in partnership with Out of the Ark. Schools, families and organisation partners are invited to a mass-participation singing event for KS2 pupils (juniors), taking place in Tudor Square on Sunday 13 May.

Children and their families will be guided through the songs from the Primary School Singing Support Pack by Music Leader Caroline Hallam and accompanied by a live band. There may even be some guest performances! Look out for further announcements.

How to get involved:

Family sign up - including online resources - FREE

Parents/Carers wanting to get involved with their families will be able to register their interest and receive free on-line resources and ideas to use at home to prepare themselves and their children for the Big Sing!

If you want to learn the songs and come along with your friends and family, please register your details and you will receive a free online resource to help you learn the songs at home before the day. 

Music in the Round and Sheffield Music Hub aim to support young people in feeling confident, singing and expressing themselves musically. Every child regardless of race, gender, background and whether they have special educational needs deserve the very best music education and to have a voice in our wonderfully diverse city.

Event details

Date: Sunday 13 May 2018 2 - 2:45pm. Arrival from 1:30pm.

Venue: Tudor Square (or the Winter Gardens if the weather is bad)

Schools have the option of coming as an organised group or for children to come along with their families. If schools are coming as a group they are responsible for their own transport and for supervising the children during the performance.

  •  What age range is this event suitable for?

The Big Sing is aimed at primary children (ages 4 – 11) but younger and older children are really welcome to get involved with their families.

  •  How much does it cost?

It is FREE for families to take part.

It would be great if you could but it’s not compulsory! There will be 4 songs to learn and some extra fun activities on the day which you will be guided through by Caroline. See below for the learning resources.
