KS5 Music Open Evening

Exciting news! We are hosting our first-ever KS5 Music Open Evening with post-16 music providers from across Sheffield.

• Tuesday 20th October

• 6:30pm - 7:30pm

• All Saints Catholic High School, Granville Road, Sheffield, S2 2RJ

This event is open to young musicians of any age and their families, although it may be particularly useful for students in Years 10 and 11 who are beginning to think about their post-16 options ahead of sixth form and college open evenings. Post 16 music providers from across the city will each have their own stall, giving young people the opportunity to speak directly with staff, ask questions and learn more about the music courses on offer. Representatives will be attending from:

• High Storrs School

• King Edward VII School

• Notre Dame High School

• The Sheffield College

• Silverdale School

• Tapton School

It can sometimes be difficult to understand the range of opportunities available after GCSE or BTEC Music, so we want to help young people and families meet the providers from across the city.

GCSE and BTEC Music numbers in Sheffield have been rising over the past two years, and we are proud to be a city that is bucking the national trend. Something exciting is happening, and we want to help young musicians continue that momentum as they move into post-16 education.
