Performance Exams - Day 1

Sheffield Music Hub Performance Exams are entry-level assessments designed to give young musicians a positive and supportive experience of performing. Set in a calm, child‑focused environment, the exams aim to build confidence, musicality, and enjoyment of music-making.

Students can choose what they perform, preparing four activities such as pieces or scales in discussion with their teacher. Each exam includes personalised feedback highlighting strengths and offering clear next steps, alongside a certificate to recognise achievement.

The exams are designed to be accessible and affordable, costing £20 per exam, with bursaries available to support those who need them. They take place in a professional recording studio and are open to a range of levels from Starters to Grade 3.
