Concordia Voices and Festival Band Went on Tour to France!
Concordia Voices and the City of Sheffield Festival Band recently returned from an incredible six-day tour to Normandy, France, following a week full of music making, sightseeing and making memories!
A total of 52 young musicians travelled to France, representing Sheffield Music Hub and showcasing their talents through a series of performances in Arromanches, Luc-sur-Mer and Bayeux. Alongside their concerts, the group also had the opportunity to visit some exciting places such as Normandy's caramel factory, Mont Saint-Michel, and Arromanches 360 Cinema.
Youth music tours are some of the most rewarding opportunities young musicians can be involved in. They bring the musicians together, strengthen friendships, build confidence and create lifelong memories.
We are incredibly proud of all our young people. They were fantastic ambassadors Sheffield Music Hub and played some amazing music!
A huge thank you also to the staff who made the tour possible and supported the young people throughout the trip. Well done to Music Leaders Amy Kershaw, Emma Ward, Iain Teather, Tom Bates, Tour Leader Liam Power, and Music Hub Manager Gillian Hume.
