Are you ready to take your string playing to the next level? Join us at Sheffield Youth Strings, our exciting string orchestra for young musicians at around grade 2-4 standard!

We’re a friendly and fun group that loves to make music together in a welcoming and supportive environment. Here, you’ll develop your ensemble skills while exploring a diverse repertoire — from folk and film to classical and contemporary. Our rehearsals are filled with engaging activities, games, and ensemble development, helping us grow together as a team. We also enjoy unique performance experiences, playing in exciting venues across the city. We’ve even been known to perform from memory!

By the time you leave Youth Strings, you’ll be brimming with confidence and ready to tackle new challenges in your playing.

We asked some of our young musicians what they thought of the group and this is what they said!
