Rachel Platt

Instruments: Clarinet, Saxophone, Flute

Rachel attained a BA (Hons) music from Leeds University. She has over 30 years experience of tutoring both classical & jazz idioms. 

She runs various ensembles/bands in schools, as well as playing saxophone in a 17 piece Soul function band, and woodwind on the musicals circuit. 

She is passionate about her teaching, and making the learning process a fun, enjoyable and productive one. She encourages pupils to focus their practice towards attainable goals, be that a music exam, concert performance or purely playing for pleasure. 

Rachel has an excellent track record of success in guiding students through music exams. If students wish to take exams, they can choose from either the ABRSM or Trinity syllabi depending on which is most suitable.
