Work Experience programme launched in response to feedback from the young people of Sheffield
During our Voice for Youth event in February, the young people of Sheffield expressed a desire for pathways into the music industry and work experience opportunities. In response, we are excited to announce a new work experience programme for young people in Sheffield.
At Sheffield Music Hub we are thrilled to announce new work experience opportunities for young people in Sheffield! As part of our commitment to providing pathways into the music industry, we are offering valuable work experience placements for students seeking hands-on experience.
We are dedicated not only to the musical journeys of children and young people, but also to helping them prepare for life after school. These placements will provide students with the chance to gain practical skills and insights that will be invaluable in their future careers.
During their time with Sheffield Music Hub, work experience students will have the chance to:
- Shadow music leaders and assist with teaching in Sheffield schools.
- Support communications work in the office.
- Learn the inner workings of a music hub.
- Help organise and run events and concerts, if concerts are taking place during their placement week.
To ensure a smooth and enriching experience, we can only accept work experience students who:
- Apply at least two months before their intended start date.
- Are currently studying in a Sheffield school.
- Do not overlap with more than two other work experience students during the same week.
If you would like work experience with Sheffield Music Hub please apply online here.
