New Student - Join Music Groups – Monster in the Maze – Youth Chorus
The Youth Chorus will be joining the exciting Sheffield Music Hub choir Concordia Voices for the rehearsals and performance on Friday 1st November and Saturday 2nd November.
We are looking for singers who want to join the Youth Chorus for the semi - staged opera production at the world-famous Crucible Theatre.
The performances take place at the end of the October half term holidays with rehearsals taking place throughout September and October.
Singers do not need previous experience on stage or singing in a choir but need to bring a love for singing and the excitement of preparing an opera to be performed at the Crucible Theatre.
No audition is required but places may be limited to a first come first served basis depending on your voice type.
The cost of taking part is £99.
Participation is FREE if you:
- Are in receipt of free school meals
- Are Looked After
- Already attend a Music Group run by Sheffield Music Hub (Band C subscription)

You must be available for all rehearsals and performances to take part.
Rehearsal commitment is as follows:
Launch Weekend in Central Sheffield
Saturday 31st August 10:30am – 4:30pm
Sunday 1 September 10:30am – 4:30pm
Friday evening rehearsals 6:30pm – 8:30pm at The Foundry Studio, 3 Brown Street, Sheffield S1 2BS
September: 13th, 20th, 27th
October: 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th
Sunday rehearsal calls 10:30am – 4:30pm at The Foundry Studio, 3 Brown Street, Sheffield, S1 2BS
September: 15th, 29th
October: 13th, 20th
Performance week (Please note this is during October Half Term Holidays)
Sunday 27th October – Full cast rehearsal AFTERNOON ONLY
Monday 28th October – Stage and Piano Rehearsal EARLY EVENING ONLY
Tuesday 29th October – Stage and Piano Rehearsal 1:30pm – 8:30pm
Wednesday 30th October – Stage and Piano Rehearsal 1:30pm – 8:30pm
Thursday 31st October – DRESS REHEARSALS 1:30pm – 8:30pm
Performance Weekend:
Friday 1st November – PERFORMANCE 1 – 3pm
PERFORMANCE 2 – 7:15pm
Saturday 2nd November – PERFORMANCE 3 – 11:00am
