Cello Gym – January 2023 with Royal Birmingham Conservatoire

Cello Gym with Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and Sheffield Music Hub is a high-energy fast-pased and exciting opportunity for any cellists from Grade 2 up to Diploma level to participate in a unique cello workout with a massed cello ensemble. Participants will have the opportunity to play specially created arrangements from Bach to Coldplay as well as listen to performances from multi award-winning professional cellists. They will also be able to meet other young cellists from across the region and play side-by-side.

Led by Nick Stringfellow, Matthew Sharp and Lucy Samuels from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, the evening is designed to support and stretch players of any level. Explore new ways to enhance your technique – scales don’t have to be boring! We are delighted to be welcoming the Cello Gym to South Yorkshire.

Any cellists are invited to take part, no matter where you live or who you have lessons with.
