Jake Rees (Drums)

My name is Jake and I have been a drummer and percussionist since I was 11 years old. I spent 4 years studying jazz percussion at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and spent a lot of that time playing drum kit and vibraphone as well as auxiliary and other hand percussion setups. I am also very lucky to get to regularly write, record and perform music with my band, Norman D. Loco!

I have been teaching drums and percussion in different settings for 8 years now and I love to teach individuals and groups of students. One of my favourite things about teaching music is getting to watch confidence grow in my students as we explore different musical settings together and push ourselves to explore new things.
