Anthony Couch (Drums/Guitar)

Hi I'm Anthony and I've been teaching music since 2008. I teach a number of instruments (guitar, bass, ukulele, piano and drums) and various styles; pop, rock, jazz etc. in both one to one sessions and group classes. I think it's important to tailor lessons to each student's needs and taste in music. Lessons with me are based on playing music as soon and as much as possible applying any musical concepts in the moment. Music is sound, not words in a book!

I do have plenty of experience teaching grade exam material and I'm proud to say my students have a 100% pass rate. Although I must say my favourite thing is seeing my students going on to form their own bands to record and perform their own music.

I'm an experienced performer myself, having performed live at venues across the country, music festivals, and can be found playing at local jam sessions whenever I get the chance.

• Favourite thing to do outside of work - I love to sketch as much as possible!

• Favourite food - Controversial choice, but it has to be Mushrooms!

• Favourite place in Sheffield - The local skatepark

• One thing about me that would surprise you to know - Sumo wrestling is my favourite sport and I even went to Japan to see it in person
